I’ve not published a product empties post in quite a while now. But, it’s the end of the month, so it’s time for another monthly product empties post. Again, I seem to have got through a fair few products in July so I thought I’d share them with you. As usual, each product will be reviewed and then rated on a heart scale out of 5 (♥♥♥♥♥). But, before you give this month’s post a read, be sure to see what products I used up in April, by clicking here to be redirected. Now, let’s get on with my July empties…
The first product in my July Empties is the Garnier tissue mask. I used this mask before my graduation this month, in hope of my skin getting that much-needed graduation glow. This sheet mask gave my skin the boost of hydration it really needed. It left my skin with a radiant glow, transforming my dull tired-looking skin. However, I do find these tissue masks a little pricey though at £1.50 per mask but that might just be me.
PS Miscellar Facial Cleansing Wipes ♥♥♥♥♥ –
The facial wipes come in a 2 pack multibuy for £1, so they’re such a bargain. Primark sells wipes for every skin type, but I like this type as they’re a much wetter wipe for getting makeup off. I don’t use make-up wipes very often at all, especially with the environmental impact of using them. But, I’ve had these stashed in the cupboard for ages so needed to use them up rather than just throwing them away or them drying up. I took these to work with me on camp and find them great for removing all the dirt that sits on my skin from the woods. They are also really good at removing heavy make-up, whilst not drying out the skin as some wipes do.
Wilko Dry Eye Mist ♥♥♥ –
Like a lot of people this year, my hayfever has been killing me this summer. I bought this eye mask as my eyes were getting so sore and dry, and found as much as it relieves some dryness, I much prefer eye drops and find them more effective.
Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer ♥♥♥♥ –
This is a concealer I’ve used for years. Without waffling too much, I find it gives create coverage and lasts all day. This isn’t the right shade for me as it was bought way before they bought out more shades but I find the formula is great.
This has been my handbag essentials for a while now, and I’m gutted it’s now empty. Yellow Diamond is one of my all-time favourite perfumes, and if you want to know more click here to be redirected to my ‘favourite perfumes’ post.
Avon Naturals Wild Berries and Pomegranate Yoghurt Body Shake ♥♥♥♥♥ –
I bought this product years ago when I did a huge Avon order and thought it would be great to take on holiday. I was so right, and found it was great for calming down sunburn, taking away some of the sting. It keeps the skin super moisturised and soaks in quickly. It also smells so good and reminds me of summer.
Rituals The Ritual of Ayurveda Foaming Shower Gel ♥♥♥♥ –
I received this product in a Birchbox quite a while ago. Click here to see what other products I received alongside this one. This smells amazing and has made me love the concept of a foaming shower gel. It feels so much more luxurious, yet remains delicate on my sensitive skin.
Nivea Shower Cream ♥♥♥♥♥ –
Like it says on the packaging, this shower cream lathers so well, and allows for a luxurious wash leaving your skin soft and nourished. It has a delicate scent and along with most Nivea products, these shower products are firm favourites.
Mario Badescu Facial Spray ♥♥♥♥♥ –
You’ll have seen in my ‘product empties: serums and spot treatments‘ post that I’d previously used a facial spray that I absolutely hated. However, this Mario Badescu one is amazing. This product contains aloe, herbs, and rosewater, so is so these natural ingredients are wonderful on my sensitive skin.
Batiste Heavenly Volume Dry Shampoo ♥♥♥ –
I found this dry shampoo was good for creating volume and it smells amazing, but it also left my hair very static and little hard to style. However, it was nice to try a different type instead of opting for my usual choice of the tropical scented option from this brand.
Lacura Activ Ice Anti-Perspectant Deodrant ♥♥♥♥ –
I feel there isn’t much really to say about a deodorant. It did its job and had a fresh cotton-like fragrance.
Lacura 0% Shower Gel ♥♥♥ –
I bought this product, as I imagined it being a dupe for the Sanex shower gels that I’ve been using for a lot of years now. I can have bad, sensitive skin flare-ups so often opt for products that won’t irritate my skin, like this one. It was great on my sensitive skin, causing no irritation in the slightest, but I still find myself leaning for the Sanex product over this dupe.
PRO:VOKE Touch of Silver Colour Care Shampoo ♥♥♥ –
Having used [roducts from this brand before, trialing this product gave me the opportunity to compare. I honestly didn’t find this as great as other silver colour care products from this brand, especially as my highlights were not as bright after use. However, they weren’t as brassy, but I will stick to other products instead.
Schwarzkopf Gliss Shampoo ♥♥♥♥♥ –
After having my hair first highlighted two years ago, I’ve been on a constant search for a shampoo to maintain it. I bought this Gliss Shampoo by Schwarzkopf for colour protect and shine, and I think it genuinely does just that. It keeps my hair silky soft, whilst controlling the oil which is something a lot of shampoos don’t do for me.
Tesco All-In-One Contact Lens Solution ♥♥♥ –
This is the final product in this July empties post. I’ve worn contact lenses for around 6 years now, and the price of lenses and solution is expensive. I’ve always opted for own brand, cheaper solution and never had an issue. I would say though that I can get the exact same ‘own brand’ solution for £1 less per bottle from Wilko. This is why this has only got a three heart rating.
That’s it for my July Empties. What’s been your favourite product this month?
