HAPPY 100th POST TO ME.
I cannot believe I’m posting my 100th post. I started my blog as a little hobby for fun back in March 2017, and I had no clue what I was doing, but just wanted to embrace something new. Nearly 2 years down the line I have hit 800 followers, been invited to a fair few blogger events including being invited to a VIP Cocktail class at Jalou York, been sent products to review, and have met so many new people within the blogging community. Oh, and right at the end of 2018 (literally the 31st), my blog went self-hosted, and I now have my own domain. What a journey.
I really enjoy blogging, and I love having this little space to write about anything and everything I want, and I cannot wait to continue this. Over the last 100 posts, there has definitely been some that have stood out to me and been true highlights of blogging, so I thought I would share with you my top 5 posts from the last 100, these are in no ranked order, but just my favourites out of the bunch, and all for very different reasons.
Firstly, one of my highlights was posting my ‘Travel Bucket List‘. I cannot believe how successful this post was and how many people read, liked and commented on it. This has been my most popular post by far, and it was this moment that gave me the confidence boost I needed, and showed me that people do actually enjoy what I write.
Next up is my ‘December Birchbox‘ review. What I loved most about this post was my photos. I am a true flat-lay beginner, but I am so proud of how these photos came out, and showed me that effort does pay off. I still look back on these photos, and question whether it was actually me who took these with my crappy little iPhone.
The third post in the top 5 is writing about our experience Scuba-Diving in Greece. This wasn’t just a blogging highlight, but a life highlight. I genuinely cannot believe we went scuba-diving, and the post was a huge shoutout to Kalypso Diving Centre for making it the experience it was.
Fourth is my ‘What’s in my Uni Bag‘ post. This was my first university post, and again for similar reasons as the Birchbox post, I just loved how this post turned out; especially the colour coordination with my bag and diary. This was another popular post that received great feedback, so another huge confidence boost. This post also holds me account to keeping a clean and declutter uni-bag, so it also has other positives!
Last but no means least is ‘5 Hours in Barcelona‘. This was an unexpected trip Adam and myself made whilst we were on holiday in Spain in July last year, and it was an amazing 5 hours. It may have only been a short amount of time, but we got to see so much of this amazing city, and I couldn’t wait to get home and blog about it. I love looking back through all my travel posts, like this one, to bring back all the memories and moment we had.
The last thing to say is a huge thank you to anyone who has read, liked and commented on any of my posts, I am truly thankful for where blogging has taken me, and how genuinely happy this little space makes me.
Next step, 200 posts!
