You may have noticed that over the last couple of weeks I’ve been pretty absent. Life has just be so overwhelmingly busy, and I just haven’t found the time to sit and type away. I’m unsure how often I’ll be able to publish over next 5/6 weeks, especially as I’m already struggling, and in the next month or so I have too many deadlines to contend with. But bare with me, once they’re over I’ll be back posting weekly.
Alongside uni stress, I’ve been ill for the last couple of weeks, which has knocked all my energy out of me. Thankfully, I’m now on 8 weeks of antibiotics, so hopefully I’m now on the mend!
On a more positive note, the weather has been b-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l over the last couple of days and I’ve really made the most of it, because lets be honest it won’t last long. So, on Thursday, Carina and I took a well deserved post-deadline trip to Knaresborough. The day was filled with walks around Mother Shipton’s Cave, riverside picnics, pit-stops for a cider in spoons (alcohol-free for the designated driver of course), and ice-creams.
Then on the Friday, me and my dad went out for dinner at Totos Italian in York, and then to the Grand Opera House to see Champions of Magic…it was amazing and mind-boggling. They are currently touring the UK, so if it is on near you I definitely recommend going to see it!
Lastly, yesterday I went to the wedding of the loveliest couple I know, it was a beautiful day filled with so much laughter and happiness.
OH, I nearly forgot! I only went a got my FIRST CAR on Saturday!!!! It is a 2014 Citroen C1 Feel in limited edition Grey (although looks different colours depending on the sun level). This was a very spontaneous purchase, as there was no plan to get my first car until I came out of uni, and even after I’ve hopefully been travelling. But I randomly stumbled across this beauty on a facebook page on the Friday night, and INSTANTLY fell in love with it; I think it was the colour that drew me in. Then on the Saturday morning I went to view it and bought it…I am SO happy (ignoring that I cried more at not driving mums car anymore over buying my own!).
Anyhow, I thought I’d give you a little life update, and share why I’ve not been blogging so much. I cannot wait for my exams and deadlines to all be over!
What exciting things have you all been up to?
