This month’s Birchbox is a collaboration with Matthew Williamson. The packaging, is so beautiful yet so festive, I absolutely love it. In December’s box, I received 3 full-size items and 2 samples-sizes. Here’s what I got, and what I think about the products.
Firstly, I got a LOC – Vibrant Matte Lipstick in Color Me Confident (Full Size) which RRPs at £6.50. this is an amazing cranberry shade, making it perfect for the festive season. I’ve found that it is long-wearing, but doesn’t leave my lips feeling dry like other matte products do…what more could you want, especially with the cold weather at the moment.
The product I was most excited for was the Spectrum B04 Angled Blender Brush (Full Size and RRP £4.99), as I’ve been trialling (and ‘erroring’!) with eye-shadow a lot more recently, and I just love getting new brushes, so I cannot wait to try this one! I already own one Spectrum brush which I received in my August box, and the quality of it is amazing, plus it’s a super-cute pink tone too!
I also received the Nip + Fab Kale Fix Moisturiser (RRP £14.95). Although I have very oily skin, I’ve been suffering from sever dry patches since the cold weather hit. However, this moisturiser has worked a treat, leaving my skin feeling super soft and nourished. It is all down to the superfood blend of kale, watercress, aloe-vera, and almond oil, so not only is it leaving my skin looking amazing, it is also giving it that boost of vitamins it so desperately needs.
My hair is so problematic as it is very oily, so I stick to what I know with shampoos and conditioners, seen as others cause my hair to react badly. So, I don’t know how I feel about using the Kebelo Clarifying Shampoo (RRP £13.95), as I’m worried I’ll have the same problem. I will definitely give it a try though, and it it’s not for me I’m sure someone else will appreciate the fresh, deep-down clean it gives you.
Lastly, I got a full size Rituals – The Ritual of Ayurveda Foaming Shower Gel (RRP £4.50). I’ve previously received one of these in my July Birchbox, and I really was not a fan of the scent, although the consistency of the product was amazing, and it left my skin so smooth and silky. However, this scent of almond oil and Indian rose, is beautiful, so I’m very excited to start using this next time I shower.
