As you may know if you’ve read my ‘Turning 20…’ and ’21 Things to do Before I Turn 21′ posts, it’s just been my birthday. I asked on twitter, and loads of you asked for a ‘what I got’ kinda post. I’m very grateful for what I got and I was completely spoilt, especially to say I have a very small family.
I’ll go through each person and what they got me…
To start, from my Mum I got some skincare products from the Body Shop, a new handbag, a bracelet (from Portugal), and a bottle of Malibu. Mum also paid for me to get my hair cut and died (for the first time)!
I obviously love my Dad but he is a pain for buying presents. He rang me up two days before my birthday asking what I wanted…TWO DAYS. I mentioned I needed some new jeans, so as I’m an awkward size, I mean a 6ft girl hasn’t exactly got short legs, I offered to order them and he gave me the money. I got a black ripped pair from Missguided, and some blue ones from ASOS. He also got me this super cute Mrs Pots and Chip plush from the Disney store…so cute, and a gift card for Primark.
Molly is one of my closest friends, and she clearly knows me so well because her presents were amazing. I was gifted a beautiful mug to put in my room (I don’t drink hot drinks but she knew it would look cute in my new room), and is now holding the Real Techniques blending sponge she also bought me. She bought me the most beautiful notebook, and a bag of chocolate buttons. This girl knows me very well!
Mum’s best friend, and my godmother Julie got me a Soap and Glory set, and put money in a card. My mum’s other closest friend Jean got me a Body Shop shower set, in vanilla brule, it smells amazing.
Pat is like a grandma to me and every birthday, Easter and Christmas she spoils me. She bought me a Clinique gift set, and put far too much money in the card! I’m eternally grateful.
My Nan and Grandad, got me some stationary, a pretty purple purse and put some money in a card.
Vicky and Mark (Cousin and partner) sent me the traditional Primark voucher, knowing my love for the store!
Christine (Neighbour) very kindly brought round a card and a Body Shop voucher, I already know a few products I’ll be buying with this!.
My other closest friend Tegan got me a beautiful bracelet, sweets, face-masks, a Lush bath bomb, oh and a cheeky little shot!
Another friend Louise kindly got me a bottle of prosecco, which I’m sure I’ll be consuming pretty soon!
The BEST boyfriend ever, Adam, truly went all out and spoiled me (like WTH). Firstly he got me THE TOO FACED CHOCOLATE BAR PALETTE (*arghhh*) and some other amazing products from Sephora including some Too Faced Makeup Brushes, the Benefit They’re Real mascara, Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara and Sweet Peach Creamy Oil Lip Gloss, and also some Sephora face masks and primer samples. He knew I secretly wanted the Chocolate Bar palette but never asked for it due it’s price tag, so you can imagine how shocked I was! Other makeup he bought me (which I’d asked for because I never dreamed of getting high-end makeup), was the I Heart Makeup Naked Chocolate pallet, fixing spray and the unicorn highlighter.
He bought me a beautiful Orchid, as this seems to be a plant that I don’t kill. He also got me a Mickey Mouse PJ set, floral blouse, Mickey Mouse jumper and socks, and some black boots he knew I had my eye on.
Other gifts from Adam included a Minnie Mouse makeup bag set, arm band to put my phone in whilst at the gym, Soap and Glory Sugar Crush body wash, and Jimmy Choo Flash EDT. Also a beautiful grey Boux Avenue lingerie set.
Finally, he’s took me for a night away, staying in a Luxury apartment in Harrogate, and taking me to Gino D’Campos restaurant, knowing I’ve been wanting to go for a while now. Also he surprised me with some other gifts when I got there, including a Millie’s Cookie, Mickey Mouse dressing gown and a cup little chip purse. Take a look at my post on Instagram! Let’s just say he truly spoilt me and I’m very lucky.
So yeah, I am a very lucky 20 year old and ever so grateful and thanful for everyone who bought me presents, and wished me a happy birthday. My birthday couldn’t have been any more amazing!
