I was so excited to come home from holiday, to my first ever Birchbox sat waiting for me to open! This is the first beauty box I have subscribed to and was looking forward to seeing what you got inside. Also, with this month’s box, you got a FREE mystery box, which I won’t lie, was the reason I chose to get July’s Birchbox. The theme of the box is ‘Summer Daze’, with a beautiful sunset and palm tree design on the box. There is an amazing selection of products in the beauty box, this month’s were all miniatures, and in my box I got the following…
Benefit Cosmetics Chachatint Lip and Cheek Stain (RRP £25.50) – This stain is a very pigmented, and easy to blend onto the cheeks and easy to apply to the lips. It gives you a flush of colour which lasts all day with no fade. This little miniature is also a perfect size to pop into your handbag, to use whenever you may need it.
Balance Me Flash Cleanse Miscellar Water (RRP £16) – This is 99% natural, which prevents irritation whilst removing makeup and leaves you with glowing skin. ADD MY OPINIONS
Percy and Reed Perfectly Perfecting Wonder Overnight Recovery (RRP £20) – I have never used a hair mask, and feel I am avoidant of them as my hair can be very oily and stick to one shampoo and conditioner as I find other products can make it very oily. However, recently, I’ve been wanting to try one as I feel my hair has got very frizzy and brittle in areas, so I am excited to try out this product. You massage it into dry hair, leave overnight and then wash it out in the morning. It has a light floral scent (actually, it reminds me of holidays!), and it a cream-gel consistency.
Rituals Hammam Delight Foaming Shower Gel (RRP £4.50) – This products transforms from a gel to a foam when it comes into contact with the skin and water. I think the packaging of this product is beautiful and it makes it looks very expensive. Also, a little goes a very long way with this product, you need a pea-size amount. Personally, I didn’t particularly like the scent of this product, but that might be because I don’t like rosemary. However, it lathers very well and left my feeling super soft!
POP Beauty Bright Up Your Life Eyeshadow Trio in Champagne Mocha (RRP £15.50) – This trio includes a brown ‘mocha’ shade, a dusky pink and a lighter baby pink shade, all shimmers. The pigmentation is reasonably good and is long-lasting. This would be great for travelling, as it provides all you need to create a quick smokey-eye look.
English Laundry No7 Perfume Sample (RRP £46) – Well, this scent is just BEAUTIFUL. It’s floral and feminine, yet not a harsh scent. The fragrance lasts all day, and this little sample will be my new handbag perfume, I love it!
The FREE Mystery Box (June’s Box) – The products came in the prettiest makeup bag, with purple and lemon stripes and is also waterproof, which would be great for holiday’s and days out! This is what I got inside…
Ecotools Perfecting Blending Duo (RRP £9.99) – Well was I excited, or was I excited. I’ve been needing a new blending sponge for ages but been reluctant buying one and was waiting until my Birthday to ask for one. So, you can imagine how happy I was when I saw these. I have never tried anything from Ecotools, so I am looking forward to using these.
MeechNMia Brow Liner in #21 (RRP £12.99) – I normally use powder on my eyebrows so I am intrigued to how a liner applies. The shade is a little light for my black eyebrows, but I will sure to be trying it out on mum next time I do her makeup for her.
Cowshed Cow Pat Hand Cream (RRP £8) – This grapefruit and bitter orange scented hand cream feels so luxurious and absorbs quickly into the skin, leaving super soft and toned hands. My mum and boyfriend are also enjoying this product, I never seem to be able to ind it when I need it!
Scrub Love Coffee Body Scrub (RRP £11.95) – Although I hate coffee, I am looking forward to trying out this body scrub, because I’ve seen it everywhere and want to see what the hype’s about. I’m thinking of doing a Pamper Routine post, so I might include a review of this product at the same time!
Nuxe Creme Prodigieuse (RRP £21) – This is an anti-fatigue moisturising cream. I feel like this will be great for my tired looking skin. The product has anti stress properties ad claims to boost the skin’s antioxidant levels. I can’t wait to give this a try!
I’ll definitely be getting August’s Birchbox, I think this beauty-box will now be what eats up my wages! I really do recommend this box!
P.S are there any other beauty-boxes you prefer to Birchbox or would recommend for me to try?
