I’ve had quite a few favourites this month, so I thought I’d share them with you and tell you why I love them so much…enjoy!
The Body Shop Vitamin C Glow Revealing Liquid Peel – Whilst in the Manchester Airport Store, I enquired about this product as I’d heard a lot about it and wanted to see if it actually worked for myself. The sales assistant was so lovely, and knew everything about the product, also showing me how it worked and doing a little tester on the back of my hand. This product is amazing! It is a gel product that traps the impurities and dead skin and peels it away. The dirt collects in little clumps for you then to wash away. My skin feels so clean, fresh and brightened after using this product.
L’Oreal Paris Pure Clay Purity and Detox Face Masks – I bought these masks after seeing them all over social media. The purity mask, softens my skin, whilst drawing out the dirt and impurities in the skin. The Eucalyptus extract within the mask aids purification, and also has anti-inflammatory and decongestant properties. The detox mask is enriched with black charcoal which helps draw out the impurities in the skin. They both have a smooth and soft consistency, so glide onto the skin and they smell really good, but the scent is not overpowering. I want to try the new Blemish Rescue Face Mask from the same range.
Make-up (Beauty Products):
The Body Shop Baked-To-Last Bronzer (01 Golden Bronze) – This was a spontaneous duty-free purchase, whilst we were at Manchester airport. I’ve been wanting to try some Body Shop skincare and makeup for a while now, and I don’t actually own a bronzer (shocking, I know), so this one quickly caught my eye. I LOVE IT. I could shout and preach all day about how amazing this bronzer is. It warms your face up whilst making you glow, as it is a shimmer bronzer. It is maybe a more pricey makeup purchase for myself, at £16, but the quality of the product is unbeatable.
Versace Yellow Diamond – I first got a sample of this perfume maybe about 5 years ago off a school friend and I still love it, and have been wearing it everyday this summer. It has a fruity, floral scent with a hint of musk.
Collection Speedy Highlight (Pearl Sheen) – This is a cream highlight, which is something I hadn’t tried before, but yet I really do love it. It makes make-up application on busy mornings quicker, but still it gives an amazing glow and lasts all day.
Yellow Mesh Top (New Look) – I bought this in the sale, whilst in Chatham visiting a friend. I’m really in to yellow at the moment and this caught my eye on the rows of clothes. This looks super cute with a lace bralette underneath (another item of clothing which I’ve been embracing recently), and is great for summer as it is light and doesn’t cling. This was £9, and I got it in a size 10.
Flared Sleeved Floral Blouses (Primark) – The black blouse has a tie up detail on the front, with a pink and blue flowers, and birds pattern. It is a peplum style chiffon blouse, with flared sleeves. I bought the cream one in the sale for £5, although similar to the black one, the sleeves differ as they have a frill on each arm before the flare and this one is not peplum. I love these because they can be dressed up or dressed down.
Black Converse All Stars – I’ve been wearing converse for years, and as many shoes come in and out of fashion, Converse always remain up there. I already own a quite a few pairs of Converse, but wanted some black ones, as they would go with any outfit and would still look nice being worn with items lie skirts and tights. They are so comfy, and I never get any initial rubbing or blister from them. I think these cost me around £32, which is much cheaper than your usual branded trainers on the market.
Beauty and the Beast (Live Action Remake) – Well, I don’t know what to say really but I LOVE THIS FILM. I dragged Adam to come see it with me the day it came out in cinema (he secretly loved it), and well I cried for a good hour, maybe two, after it finished. I had such high expectations for this remake, and had been counting down the days until it was out in cinemas, and it completely exceeded those expectations by far. We went for the latest screening that day (I’ll be honest I wanted to sit and enjoy the film and not be surrounded by children), and it was touching to see the screening was sold out but the screen was full of adults, which added to the day. Everything was just perfect, the design, the cast, the costumes. I have no words, it left me in awe! So obviously, I preordered it and have watched it three times since it came out on DVD. You have to see it!
Jurassic World – I remember watching Jurassic Park when I was younger, but I was never the biggest fan. But whilst I was at Sophie’s I spotted it on Netflix, and Sophie said I had to watch it. Well, I was hooked throughout the whole film, and it is such a good film. The story line is engaging, and it is a great film for a wide audience.
Diana: Our Mother (ITV) – Although I was born shortly after Princess Diana sadly died (this date was my actual due date), I’d been really looking forward to watching this documentary, since seeing it advertised. It left me choked up and in tears the whole way through out the programme. She amazed me with how much she had done and contributed to this world, including her charity work and raising worldwide awareness of many global issues. It is wonderful to see Prince William and Prince Harry following in their mothers footsteps, and it saddens me to know she’s not around to be there with them. This programme changed my outlook on the royal family as a whole, and I was unduly touched by how highly everyone spoke about Diana.
Creams Cafe (Chatham) – I’d been nagging Sophie for weeks up until visiting her, to take me to this cafe whilst I was visiting. This place is incredible. I mean, I love waffles and milkshakes anyway, but these were so good. I got fudge brownie waffles and an Oreo milkshake.
Plitvice Lakes (Croatia) – Whilst in Croatia we hired a car and travelled to Plitvice Lakes. You can choose different routes to walk around (we chose the 5/6 hour route), and you are free to explore the breath taking surroundings. The waters are so blue and clear, and the mountains and waterfalls are beautiful. This place definitely needs to be on your Travel Bucket List.
Forbidden Corner – This place is just magical and crazy! Click here to see a full blog post about our day out to Forbidden Corner.
